REC DAY CAMP TEAM

Director Halle McClintock just finished her junior year at the University of Georgia studying Elementary Education. This will be her second year working at day camp. Her favorite part about camp is spending time with the kids, getting to know them, and giving back to a community that is so important to her! A fun fact about her is that she is on the track team at UGA. She can’t wait for the best summer of camp ever!

Camp Counselor Peyton Owen just finished his freshman year at Ohio State University with an undecided major. His favorite thing about camp is giving a new generation of kids a great experience at the rec like he had when he was young.  A fun fact about me is him is that he also coached youth basketball for 2 years.

Camp Counselor Julia Crandall is a freshman at Miami University studying psychology. Her favorite thing about camp is seeing the smiles on the faces of the campers each day! This will be her third summer working at the rec. When Julia was in Intermediate school, she spent almost every summer day in the rec pool playing with her friends.

LITTLE REC CAMPER DIRECTORS

Paula Suzelis has been a resident of South Russell for almost 30 years and enjoys teaching her 4’s class at The Methodist Preschool in Chagrin Falls.  Some of her best summer memories include spending many days and nights at the Chagrin Rec with her 2 sons (who are now college students), including her time as a swim team volunteer.   Paula is excited for the opportunity to co-direct the preschool summer camp and share her days and enthusiasm with the children.

Jen Condon is the mother of three children, the youngest of whom is finishing her senior year at Chagrin HS. Jen’s family moved to South Russell in 2015 from Rhode Island. Since moving here she has been involved with Safe Routes Chagrin, Chagrin Newbies and School activities.
Jen is a PK-3 teacher who was an aide in the Gurney pre-school before moving to Valley Christian Preschool to teach the older 4’s, younger 5’s class for two years. Jen is looking forward to lots of time to play and explore outside at camp this summer.
