Help your child become a better athlete this summer by moving beyond traditional sport-specific camps. Led by Gordon Glass (Gateway Lacrosse) and college-level athletes, this camp is designed for those wanting to develop their athletic skills, sports IQ and leadership qualities. Through traditional (B-ball, soccer, etc.) and recreational (frisbee, kickball, etc.) sports, kids will learn how feet, core, hips, shoulders, hands and eyes work together to develop stronger athletic abilities. Concepts taught include communication, spacing, and team play. Each day will focus on a character quality important for athletes such as respect and commitment. May include time in the pool to cool off on hot days.
No equipment required. Bring a water bottle, swimsuit and towel. Each session requires a minimum of 10 kids.
Rec staff will transition full-day campers from morning Rec Day Camp to Dynamic Sports and Leadership Camp at 12pm.
