At the Chagrin Valley Recreation Center, we strive to run an organized, enjoyable and safe swim meet.  It is for these reasons that some simple, but important rules need be applied at our home swim meets:

ONLY Rec Staff, swimmers, coaches, timers and meet officials are allowed on the pool deck. 

No spectators are allowed on the pool deck during the meet. 

There is ample seating in the grassy area and bleachers for viewing swim events.

The middle pool remains open for our non-swim team CVRC members who wish to enjoy the pool while a swim meet is taking place. 
Lifeguards remain in their chairs during this time.  It is their responsibility to keep the middle pool area safe for those swimmers.  For this reason, at no time, may the “Staff Only” gates be used as parent access to the middle pool area.

Safety is our primary goal.  Should an event arise where prompt attention is required, the Rec staff must be able to quickly access any area of the pool.
